Subject: Post IFLA WLIC- Opportunities to Collaborate.

Greetings Iverson, Sandy

I hope you had a wonderful time at the IFLA WLIC 2022 in Dublin and that you safely got back to St. Francis Xavier University. It was such a great opportunity for us all to meet in person for IFLA again.

My name is Nyakundi James. I am the Head Librarian at Knowledge Empowering Youth Trust. This is a Canadian registered Charity that supports school libraries in Kenya, Tanzania and Ghana. Our main offices are in Nairobi, Kenya. Attending IFLA this year gave us an opportunity to share what we are doing to support school libraries.

Our organization welcomes international volunteers who are professionals or students of library science to volunteer in Kenya. This gives an international volunteer experience. Kindly feel free to share this with your dean or with your Professionals or students’ networks for those who may be interested to volunteer with us.

We are also open for collaborations in best practices sharing, capacity building. Individuals may volunteer their expertise physically or even virtually. Please do feel free to reach out on possible areas of collaboration or let’s schedule a meeting for us to share with you more on what we are doing.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards,
