Dear members and LISTSERV subscribers, APLA’s Conference Committee is in a difficult situation due to the delicate status of a potential *in-person conference in PEI* this Spring. We know several people are eager to return to live events and there is some belief at the moment that an in-person conference is achievable. However, it is not without risks. If too many people are reluctant to attend an in-person conference, or if there is an unexpected lockdown, APLA could suffer significant financial losses if we pay for venues without collecting enough registration fees to cover the costs. Having spoken to Executive Committee members and to members of the library community in general, there is a noticeable eagerness to return to normalcy. However, a more efficient way of gauging the pulse on this issue would be to have as many of you as possible fill out this quick survey <https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/K8Y7L8F>. Nous savons que plusieurs personnes désirent retourner à des événements de ce genre en personne. Nous croyons aussi qu'une conférence en personne est réalisable. Cependant, cela n'est pas sans risques.
