Dewey Decimal Classification: The Basics

Does this book on houseplants go in gardening (635.9), botany (581.6), or interior decorating (747)? This is not a drill!

For many librarians responsible for cataloging and classifying, this is a common scenario and dilemma when processing new materials.

Whether you’re new to this task or needing a refresher, a solid knowledge of the basics of Dewey Decimal Classification will help you feel more comfortable using this important tool.

This course consists of two two-hour sessions:

Tuesday, September 14 1:00 pm - 3 pm CDT

Thursday, September 16 1:00 pm - 3 pm CDT
