Subject: Research and Survey Opportunity: Temporary Caregivers and the
Children in their Care: Fostering an Engaging and Supportive Library
Environment

*Survey Participant Invitation Message*

Hello!

Could you spare 10 minutes to answer a survey and help us learn more about
how public libraries can support temporary caregivers and the child(ren) in
their care?

The research project is called “Temporary Caregivers and the Children in
Their Care: Fostering an Engaging and Supportive Library Environment” and
is being conducted by Miranda Angelski and Katie Kehoe, graduate students
at the School of Information Management at Dalhousie University in Halifax,
NS. We hope to identify the unique assets, interests, and struggles
temporary caregivers and the children they support experience, and how
public libraries can provide responsive, meaningful services.

The invitation to complete this survey is open to public library staff in
Canada. The online survey must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. AST on March
26th, 2021. By participating in this study, Katie and Miranda will benefit
from the experience of conducting a research study to complete their degree
requirements. As an added benefit, we hope to identify ways that public
libraries can create and sustain more inclusive, responsive services.

We would be happy to answer any questions or concerns now and at any point.
We can be reached at [log in to unmask] The research project is being
completed under the supervision of Alison Brown, who can be reached at
