Collection Development in Public Libraries in Minority Language Settings
To: [log in to unmask] <[log in to unmask]>

Hello Ann,

We are inviting your members to participate in a national survey of French
language collection development in public libraries in a linguistic
minority situation

We are conducting the survey to bring a new disciplinary understanding of
an area of professional work that has not previously been studied and to
identify success factors that might aid libraries in future collection
development decisions. The results of the survey will be published as a
scholarly article in an open-access peer-reviewed disciplinary journal.
The researchers are: Céline Gareau-Brennan and Sarah Shaughnessy
(University of Alberta), Hélène Carrier and Catherine Lachaîne (University
of Ottawa). The researchers are members of Library and Archives Canada’s
Official-Language Minority Communities (OLMCs) Network.
Details and links to the survey, in French and English, are available here and here The survey is
available until *March 31, 2021*.

Is it possible to share this message with your provincial association
Many thanks!
