October's message from the APLA Continuing Education Interest Group is
courtesy of group member Lindsey MacCallum (NS) and is on the topic of
mental health:

We're all performing our jobs in new and/or changed environments while also
dealing with the stressors of health, family, and more during this
pandemic. Taking care of our mental health is essential during this time,
so below are recommended videos and readings that support mental wellness

   - Adapting to COVID-19: Mental Wellness in Challenging Times
   a video recording of a session from BCcampus;
   - Adapting to COVID-19: How Practicing Mindfulness can Improve Your
   Overall Well-Being
   a video recording of a session from BCcampus;
   - Voices: Topics in Canadian Librarianship
   <> (vol.
   2, no. 1, 2018), with particular focus on the article "Mindfulness in the
   Library: A Proactive Approach for Mental Health in LIS" by Meagan Collins
   and Nicole Doro;
   - A list of free short guided meditations
   from the UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center.
