Dear Ann Smith,
I hope that you are doing well considering the current circumstances with COVID-19. I am emailing you on behalf of the Memory Project, a program of Historica Canada. The Memory Project is a volunteer speakers bureau that arranges for veterans and active Canadian Forces members to share their stories of military service, free of charge, to Canadians across the country. Speakers are available year-round and bring history to life by providing a human perspective on Canada’s military engagements.
We would love to connect our speakers with more libraries and their communities and hope that you, or members of your association, may be interested in our speaking engagements. We would greatly appreciate it if you could share our information on your organization’s social media pages or newsletters. If you believe that our speakers bureau is something members of your organization may be interested in, please let me know and I can provide more information on the program.
Due to COVID-19, we have fully transitioned to remote visits until it is safe to resume in-person speaking engagements. The health and safety of your communities and our speakers is our first priority. Our speakers are eager and prepared to speak to groups via video call on multiple platforms (Zoom, Skype, Google Meets, etc.).
