Description: What is Indigenous Data Sovereignty and why is it important? This session will provide a brief overview of the concepts and foundations of Indigenous Data Sovereignty, as well as discuss why it is so important for galleries, libraries, archives, and museums to work with Indigenous communities to ensure that their Knowledges and data are being represented in an appropriate way. This session will also highlight Indigenous Data Sovereignty tool kits that GLAM institutions can use.
