Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Dalhousie University

School of Information Management at OLA

Did you know that SIM turned 50 in 2019? We are continuing celebrations into 2020, and we want you to join us!

Grads of the Dalhousie Master of Library Service, Master of Library and Information Studies, and Master of Information Management programs in the Toronto area for the OLA Super Conference are invited to meet with Dr. Sandra Toze, Director of SIM, and Marie DeYoung, Chair, School of Information Management Alumni Association (SIMAA).

Date/Time: Thursday January 30th, 5:00 – 6:00pm

Location: Azure Restaurant & Bar (InterContinental Hotel - connected to the MTCC)

This informal event provides an opportunity to network and learn more about SIM’s anniversary activities. We are happy to move the celebration to dinner, for those whose schedules allow.

Dalhousie established the School of Information Management (SIM) in 1969 and that year launched the first Master’s program in library and information studies in Atlantic Canada. Today, SIM offers the on-campus Master of Information (former Master of Library and Information Studies), the distance-delivery Master of Information Management, and the Bachelor of Management (in partnership with other Schools in the Faculty of Management).
