Hello,
I am writing to you on behalf of a consortium led by the Canadian Children's Book Centre (www.bookcentre.ca). With funding from Canada Council for the Arts we are launching a YouTube channel (Bibliovideo) next May focusing on all aspects of Canadian books for young people.
You can see our video teaser and learn more about the project here: https://bookcentre.ca/resources/bibliovideo
Our key audiences are librarians, teachers, authors, illustrators, reviewers, distributors, researchers, parents, kids and teens. We are inviting librarians and other educators to submit short videos and would welcome participation from your members. We already have several libraries on board and are hoping to have participation from Atlantic Canada as well.
Bibliovideo promises to be a great showcase for library programs and videos made by librarians and library-users. We're featuring content on any aspect of Canadian books for kids and teens – author visits and readings, book trailers and reviews, illustrator demos, writers' advice, and tips on how to use books in the library or classroom.
It would be marvellous if you would share this info with your constituents. Any advice on reaching out to libraries would be much appreciated.
I am happy to speak with you to provide more info whenever it suits.
Thanks,
Janis
