It provides a distributed service across the health authority with physical libraries in five hospitals. Library Services is an arm of, and works in tandem with, the Horizon Workforce Development team. As the librarian for the Saint John Area, you will work with your colleagues in other Horizon areas, and the library technicians you supervise, to contribute to the overall strategic and operational planning, management, development and promotion of the regional service. You will bring current knowledge of the issues and trends in library services, information technologies, copyright, and the Canadian health care system to the organization. You will assure Horizon values and policies are applied in your service. You will also contribute to the broader Workforce Development mandate by facilitating classroom teaching, including a rotating role in delivering General Orientation classroom sessions and participating in other Workforce Development initiatives. You will bring a dynamic enthusiasm for continuous growth and a commitment to customer-focused service, evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement to the position.
