Hello APLA,

*Apologies for any cross-posting*

This is a reminder to sign up for the CNSA Conference, "Facilitating
Accessibility; Celebrating Diversity". It's a chance to come together as a
community to share what we've done over the past year, take advantage of
professional development opportunities, and learn what we can do as
archivists to welcom all Nova Scotians into our archives. There will be
sessions discussing resources to increase cultural awareess, guidance on
cost-effective measures to increase accessibility, and of course, food and
drinks. The conference will be capped off with a presentation by Jaime
Battiste, celebrated Mi'kmaq historian and activist, and John MacLeod,
senior government records archivist. Jaime will discuss the history and
modern context of the treaties of peace and friendship, while John will
discuss the Nova Scotia Archives' role in the preservation and conservation
of the physical treaties.

There is still time to sign up! Head to:

The conference runs May 11-12 at the Nova Scotia Archives, with lunches,
snacks, and travel reimbursements provided. Come out to join your
community, and learn how to serve your province even better. See you soon!
