The Library at Mount Saint Vincent University invites applications for a partial time, term position (17.5 hours per week) at the rank of Librarian I, commencing on January 3, 2017 and ending on April 28, 2017. Applicants should hold an ALA-accredited Master of Library Science (or equivalent) and have reference service experience (preferably in an academic library environment).


Experience in the following areas would be considered an asset:

  • a background in the science disciplines
  • collection development experience
  • vendor licensing experience
  • experience with the provision of data services (e.g. Statistics Canada) 
  • credit or non-credit teaching, library instruction, or library orientation
  • online delivery of information services and development of web-based guides and tutorials

Responsibilities include serving as the liaison librarian for the sciences and for the area of collections management.
