Dear all,
On behalf our 2016 NSLA Conference Convenor, Kristel Fleuren-Hunter, and the members of the Local & Conference Organizing Committee, we are excited to welcome you to our community & the beautiful Pictou Lodge & Beach Resort.
A Sense of Place… you, your community, your work
23-25 September, 2016
The 2016 NSLA/LBANS Conference website is live, and now updated with pre-conference and conference session information, registration forms, and local accommodation information (www.nsla.ns.ca , http://www.parl.ns.ca/conference/index.html )
From our Keynote session with Elena Madison, with the Project for Public Spaces (Placemaking), to a featured One Book NS author reading, an evening of Spirits, and our Annual Awards Banquet, preconference and conference sessions on recycled/upcycling books to BookRage podcasts, Community Block Parties @library, Art Spaces, and much, much more.
Please join us as we acknowledge and celebrate our colleagues’ outstanding contributions and dedication to the library community in Nova Scotia, and the communities we serve. And we would like to extend a huge ‘thank you!’ to all our outstanding conference sponsors.
*Note, Early Bird conference registration rates are available until 15 August 2016.
** Accommodations are not included in the Conference Registration, although most meals are included (with an optional dinner available on Friday night).
With kind regards,
