Thank you, Meg. I also had serious concerns about this as well.
It points to the fact that our field could use a research ethics committee of some kind. I see so many of these kinds of issues - asking people in our field to give up personal information without evidence of careful review. It impacts the kinds of information we have to work with when trying to make improvements in services and, even, working conditions of our colleagues.

I’m curious about this organization. I visited the web site and find it skimpy to say the least. Only two members make up the Board of Directors and there are no members of the National Advisory Committee. To announce its presence to a national audience with a salary survey seems somewhat inappropriate to me.
I will need more information about this organization, how the survey information will be used, who is collecting the data and doing the analyses, and how the information will be stored before partaking.
