Dear Lynn,

We would be most grateful you would promote this very worthwhile program to your members.

The Canadian Library Association, in partnership with the Department of Canadian Heritage, is pleased to announce the launch of the Young Canada Works (YCW) summer student and graduate internship programs for 2016-2017. Again this year, young Canadians, from coast to coast to coast will benefit from world-class opportunities to acquire and enhance skills, build career equity, earn money for their education or get started on the right career path.

In 2015, the Canadian Library Association assisted in the creation of 100 summer and 4 internship positions across Canada. Positions funded included: Summer Reading Club Coordinators, Audio Visual Collections Assistants, Digital Archives Assistants, Children's and Youth Program Assistants to name but a few.

Applications for both YCW in Heritage Organizations (summer jobs) and YCW Building Careers in Heritage (internships) will be accepted until Friday, January 15, 2016 at 11:59 PM eastern standard time. All applications must be completed online at www.youngcanadaworks.gc.ca<http://www.youngcanadaworks.gc.ca>. Should you have any further questions regarding the application process; or questions about programming in general, please do not hesitate to contact Jon MacDougall at (613) 232 - 9625 ex. 321, or by emailing [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
