Partnership Journal Turns 10: It’s About Time!

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Partnership Journal, we invite your submissions to Volume 11.1 (2016) to be published in summer 2016.

Partnership is an open-access journal intended for readers in all library sectors.

As always, we invite good quality writing on any topic relevant to libraries that would be of interest to our readers.

We are also looking for submissions which play on our anniversary theme: It's About Time.

Share your reflections looking back on the past decade, or your predictions going forward towards the next decade.

  * How have libraries changed in the past decade?
  * What will your area of librarianship be like in 2026?
  * How do you imagine your workplace in 2026?
  * Is your library (to quote the famous fifth law of library science) a growing organisms? If not, why not?
  * In 2006, the first issue of this journal featured articles on e-learning, open access, course management system integration, and video streaming. How have these (or other significant developments) changed libraries? How has our thinking about them changed?

The Innovations in Practice section (peer-reviewed; 3,000-7,000 words) will focus on new ideas that will revolutionize libraries in the next ten years.

The Professional Development section’s Roundtable topic is: How has the profession changed since you graduated? Send us your perspective (250-750 words) which will be collected into one longer article edited by the section editor.

The Viewpoints section (1,000-2,000 words) is a natural place to express your opinion on the past and/or future of libraries!

Full details on the focus and scope of each section of the journal is available under the ABOUT link.

Submission deadline: February 26, 2016.
