Public Places, Community Spaces:Connecting Nova Scotia’s Archives, Libraries and Museums
- CALL FOR PROPOSALS -

The 2015 conference is a milestone event: for the first time ever, Nova Scotia Library Association (NSLA), Library Boards Association of Nova Scotia (LBANS), Association of Nova Scotia Museums (ANSM) and Council of Nova Scotia Archives (CNSA) are partnering for a joint conference bringing together staff, volunteers and trustees from all of these communities!

The conference will celebrate the role we all play in supporting the culture and heritage in Nova Scotian communities. The theme of “Public Places, Community Spaces: Connecting Nova Scotia’s Archives, Libraries and Museums” will allow us to explore how libraries, archives and museums can connect and work together to better serve the public.

Conference sessions could include (but are not limited to):
● Presenting new initiatives and innovative approaches in service delivery
● Sharing knowledge and best practices for running and evaluating programs or other activities
● Connecting to the local community and/or user groups to improve service
● Investigating new partnerships and ways to share resources
● Showcasing creativity and insights into the way clients and communities are served
● Exploring new technology, or new ways to use existing technology

The Program Committee invites you to submit a session proposal for the conference to be held at the Lord Nelson Hotel and Halifax Central Library from September 25-27, 2015 in Halifax.

Presentations should be 50 minutes in length and include time for questions.

Send your submissions to [log in to unmask], by June 10, 2015. Please include a brief description of the topic/proposed session, any a/v requirements, number of speakers involved and your contact information.
