If you are a professional librarian currently working in a public library in Atlantic Canada, you can help us learn more about the hiring policies and practices in your library.

The 21st century provides many opportunities as well as challenges for the evolution of public libraries in both a digital age, and in an era of fiscal constraints.  These opportunities and challenges have implications for staffing.  Our research will analyze, compare, and evaluate human resource policies and practices regarding librarian positions within selected Atlantic Canadian public libraries.

If you choose to participate, the link below will take you to an online questionnaire, which will take 10-20 minutes to complete.  Participation in this study is voluntary, and you may chose to withdraw from the study at any time by closing your browser.

The design and administration of this questionnaire follows the policies and procedures of the Social Sciences and Humanities Human Research Ethics Board of Dalhousie University.  Your questionnaire responses are anonymous, and are stored on secure Dalhousie University servers using Opinio software.
