Shortgrass Library System is seeking an energetic, innovative and service-oriented individual for the position of Systems Administrator.

Under the leadership of the Manager, Technology Services, the position provides essential services in the area of technology for the library system.

Educational qualifications must include a two-year diploma, or equivalent, specializing in computer technology. Must have A+ and Network+ certification.

Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving abstract.

This is a full-time permanent position which may include some evening and weekend work.

Salary range starts at $43,829 (will be negotiated depending on experience) plus benefits package including: extended health & dental benefits, Short & Long Term Disability, Life Insurance & Pension Plan.

Shortgrass Library System is one of Alberta’s seven regional library systems. Covering the south-eastern corner of Alberta, and headquartered in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Shortgrass serves a population of over 100,000 through a network of twelve autonomous public libraries. We also provide contractual services to a total of thirty-three school libraries in the Prairie Rose School Division Number 8 and Medicine Hat School District Number 76.

Shortgrass works in partnership with Medicine Hat College Library Services on ongoing projects such as the regional One Community One Card system and the Shared Intern Librarian initiative.
