We at Social-biblio.ca are researching why, how and with what effects, Canadian public libraries are using Twitter to engage and interact with their clients and communities.

We have been collecting tweets and reporting themes and events in public libraries since March 2012 at this site.  This research is supported through my position as Assistant Professor at the School of Information Studies, University of Ottawa.

The first piece of this multi-part research project involves a brief survey of libraries to gather some basic information about your library's micro-blogging voice via Twitter. More information about the survey including a detailed consent form is available here    [ http://social-biblio.ca/survey ]

Please take a few minutes to complete this survey - the more libraries participate, the stronger the results of the research will be for you, your communities, and for future researchers and future library professionals.
