Subject: APLA Fundraiser “Backyard BBQ / Campfire”

Hi Everyone,

The APLA Fundraiser “Backyard BBQ / Campfire” will be taking place this Friday, rain or shine!

APLA President Lou Duggan will be playing some guitar around the campfire.

Join members of the Nova Scotia library community for bbq’d hamburgers/veggie-burgers and assorted drinks (feel free to bring your own), music, mingling, a campfire and much fun!

All proceeds will go directly to the Medabo zena Reading Room in Ethiopia - http://apla.ca/?q=growalibrary

When:  Friday, June 19 / 7pm

Where:  Ray & Lou’s Backyard - 2640 Northwood Terrace (just a block away from North and Gottingen Streets)

**IN CASE OF RAIN…. please do come anyway, we’ll be having a kitchen party instead!!!

Cost: by donation

The library we are raising money for is to be located in an old house made of stone that was donated by the local community. By supporting this reading room, APLA will help CODE provide students, teachers and other members with access to much-needed reading materials, in English and local languages.  APLA’s support will also go toward staff training as well as furnishings for the new library. APLA participates in CODE’s adopt a library program annually.
