ABQLA is pleased to invite members of the library and information professional community to submit conference proposals for their 81st annual conference to be held in Montreal on Thursday, May 9th, 2013. The theme for this year’s conference will be Assessment: Gaining insight, improving services. The conference will focus on various aspects of assessment, with an emphasis on practical strategies and methods that can help librarians and information specialists ensure their services remain responsive to users’ needs in a rapidly changing world.

The ABQLA Conference Committee welcomes presentations on topics relevant to the library and information professional community that address assessment of services, collections, instruction, resources, metadata, space, programs, user needs, etc. Other topics that address the conference theme in some respect are also welcome.

L’ABQLA est heureuse d’inviter les membres de la communauté des bibliothécaires et professionnels de l’information à soumettre des propositions de communications pour son 81ème Congrès annuel qui se tiendra à Montréal le jeudi 9 mai 2013. Le thème cette année est Évaluer : mieux connaître pour mieux servir. Le congrès se concentrera sur les divers aspects de l’évaluation, avec une emphase sur les pratiques et méthodes stratégiques qui aident les bibliothécaires et spécialistes de l’information à s’assurer que les services qu’ils proposent sont adaptés aux besoins changeants des usagers.

Le Comité du congrès de l’ABQLA considèrera les communications sur des sujets présentant un intérêt pour la communauté des bibliothécaires et des professionnels de l’information, traitant de l’évaluation des services, des collections, de l’enseignement, des ressources, des métadonnées, de l’espace, des programmes, des besoins des usagers, etc... D’autres sujets connexes au thème du congrès pourront aussi être considérés.
