Starting the week of January 7, 2013, the Faculty of Education at the
University of Prince Edward Island will be offering an online course titled
*School and Community Libraries for 21st Century Learning*. Taught by Dr.
Lyndsay Moffatt <[log in to unmask]>, this is a graduate-level education
course open to anyone interested in learning more about this exciting and
very relevant topic.

The official course description is below:

*ED672: School and Community Libraries for 21st Century Learning*

This course explores the theoretical underpinnings of information and
digital literacies and how they are developed within school and local
library programs*.* Participants examine research supporting the guided
inquiry process, problem-based learning, and the effective use of digital
and traditional learning resources, as well as how teacher-librarians,
classroom teachers and community members collaborate to design and
implement effective multi-literacies instruction.
