The Atlantic Provinces Library Association invites you to submit ideas for sessions to present at the 2012 annual meeting and conference, to be held in beautiful Wolfville, Nova Scotia from May 22-25, 2012. The theme of APLA 2012 is "Discovering Hidden Treasures" in our collections, our services, our community. The conference committee is dedicated to offering delegates a chance to discover new approaches to the traditional conference program. Sessions will describe innovative programs, studies, best practices, or new research findings. Sessions should relate to the overall conference theme "Discovering Hidden Treasures". Possible topics might include, but are not limited, to the following: * information entrepreneurship; * career progression in libraries; * ebooks and audiobooks; * econtent and preservation; * innovative processes and practices; * library, archive and museum connections; * leading edge technology; * libraries and collaboration; * innovation in librarianship; * open access; * resource description and access (RDA); and * services for the changing user. To be considered, please submit the following information by January 15, 2012: * title of the session; * a short structured abstract of 250 words or less; and * primary author's name, email address and business phone number Abstracts for sessions should be sent to the APLA 2012 Program Chair, Tanja Harrison, at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
