Work Assignment:

 

INFO 6350 – Indexing and Abstracting

 

The part-time academic will teach the elective Indexing and Abstracting course (INFO 6350) in the MLIS programme during the 2012 winter term.  The course is scheduled for one 3 hour period per week, January – April, 2012.

 

Requirements of the Position:

 

MLIS or related degree and experience with indexing and abstracting.  Prior teaching experience is also required.

 

The Instructor reports to the Director of the School.  Duties include, but are not limited to:

 

Responsibility for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including lectures, active learning class sessions, assignment preparation and evaluation; availability for two hours per week for consultation with students.   A syllabus for the course is available.  While  this course is usually taught onsite, distance delivery is also an option, in which case the instructor must have successful prior teaching experience with online course delivery.
