Subject: [APLA] citation question

Hi everyone,

I have a patron who is doing her M.A. in French Studies.  Her advisor has told her to use “Le Style Franšais” and said that the basics can be found @ http://www.er.uqam.ca/nobel/vimages/pages/protocole.php (which tells her to look at a bibliography in V. 34 no. 2).  This is fine but I was wondering if anyone knows the following:

a)      What is this style actually called?

b)      Is there a proper guide book for it that we can purchase?

c)      Is there a preferred method for citing archival material in this style?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ian
