Salary range:
$ 69569 to $ 80742 annually

Individuals with preferred status who already live in close proximity to the above mentioned offices are also admissible to this selection process.

Preference for placement is usually given to Canadian Citizens/Permanent Residents (Landed Immigrants) when the pool consists of a large number of competent individuals.

Job Description and Duties

Leads a diverse team of professional and technical staff providing library and research services aligned to the national Knowledge and Research Program (KRP) for the use of Agency staff clients.

Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of the team against established objectives and deliverables.

Selects, evaluates, and edits information products for the current awareness services and for research projects pertaining to Agency program areas.

Provides comprehensive and complex research services to Canada Revenue Agency staff in the fields of taxation, business, finance, industry and law.

Develops and applies measures of service/product usage, client satisfaction and impact, emerging needs and gaps using market research tools, such as surveys, interviews, focus groups.

Coordinates a client training program in information retrieval techniques and research methodology, and advises clients on emerging tools and research trends.


Experience

1. Significant* experience in supervising employees including performance evaluation, staff relations management, problem solving and staff development through training and coaching.

2. Significant* experience in the delivery of research and knowledge services involving both traditional and electronic service delivery.

* Significant is defined as experience associated with having performed a broad range of related activities which would normally be acquired over a period of two years.

Preference may be given to candidates with recent pertinent experience. Recent experience is defined as experience gained within the last five years.


Education

Graduation from a recognized university with a master's degree in library science or in library and information science;

Or

Graduation from a recognized university with a bachelor’s degree in library science or in library and information science for which another bachelor’s degree was a prerequisite.
