Still searching for a special something for someone special? Would you like to acknowledge a family member, colleague, or co-worker? If so, what a great opportunity to support APLA's Grow a Library initiative by giving the gift of literacy.

APLA has partnered with CODE and CODE's motto is "if you can read and write, you can learn to do, and be, anything". Literacy and education can change lives and schools and libraries are places where that transformation is encouraged and enabled.

You can help the Grow a Library Committee reach its goal of raising $2500.00 in support of the Abdoulaye Maiga School and Community Library by donating online to the fundraising effort [ ] or by downloading and printing the donor form [ ]. A printable card to acknowledge a donor is available for downloading at .

Your donation will help support the Abdoulaye Maiga School and Community Library which is located in Tabakoro, a rural community in Mali. The library is a partnership between five villages in the region, the Centre d'animation pédagogique (CAP or Pedagogical Support Center), the National Investment Agency of Territorial Authorities (ANICT) and ALED (CODE's partner in Mali). The library was founded in 1994 and named after the late Abdoulye Maiga, former Director of the Centre d'animation pédagogique. The library provides services to the school, which has 667 students, and to the community

Your donation is eligible for a Canadian charitable tax receipt and when donating electronically, a tax receipt is issued automatically. If you send your donation through the mail it will take about five working days to process.

Have a happy and restful holiday.
