Paper and poster submissions are now being accepted for the 2011 APLA
Conference happening May 16-19th in St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador.

Papers and posters should strive to reflect this year's conference
theme: "On the Edge: Evolving Services, Extending Access and Exchanging
Ideas". Submissions from all types of libraries are encouraged, and may
include research reports, demonstrations of new services or innovations,
case studies or reviews. 

Papers
Accepted papers will be allotted 60 minutes, with 45 minutes for the
presentation, plus 10-15 minutes for introductions, questions and
discussion. To be considered, please submit the following information
to: Lorna Adcock ([log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]> ) by Monday,
January 31, 2011.
*    Title of the paper 
*    Abstract of 250 words or less
*    Author(s) name(s), address, email and work phone number (please
indicate corresponding author)
Those submitting proposed papers will be contacted by Monday, February
21, 2011. If required, each meeting room can be equipped with the
following: laptop, projector, projection screen, podium, microphone.
 
Posters
You also have the option to showcase your research or recent initiative
at the APLA 2011 Poster Session, organized by the Dalhousie University
School of Information Management Associated Alumni.  Located in the main
Exhibit Hall, APLA 2011 will include up to 30 juried posters, to be
displayed during the same hours as the exhibits. Poster authors will be
invited to present their posters during the lunch breaks. Please submit
a description of the project (150 words or less) along with the name of
the presenter and the presenter's institution, contact information, and
a title for the poster, to: [log in to unmask] or call Cordelia
Perry, one of the Poster Session coordinators, at 902.585.1734. The
deadline is April 30,  2011.
 
Please note that conference registration fees will not be waived for
presenters of contributed papers or posters.
