Reporting to the Legislative Librarian, the Program Administration Officer 1-2 is responsible for planning, designing and monitoring systems for the collection and distribution of information via web-based and wireless technologies.

This position is responsible for managing database and digitization projects and making content accessible on the Legislature website as well as providing training and advice to Legislature staff developing content for the Internet. The Program Administration Officer 1-2 will also be responsible for developing and maintaining an intranet site for the Legislature.


Graduation from a recognized university with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 6 months IT experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

The incumbent must be able to work independently and as part of a team and must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. This position requires the incumbent to be able to think critically and have sound interpersonal skills. Experience with content management systems and PHP would be considered an asset.

Note: This is a casual position not less than 10 weeks

Classification Range: PR 6-10

Salary Range: Hourly rate of $21.89 to $31.40
