Hello all:
 
If you have been approached by students looking for library work for the summer, in the St. John's area, please let them know that I have a position available at the DFO Library via the FSWEP program. Here is a summary of the summer job:
 
The successful candidate will assist with major weeding and library collection development project for our library. Duties include reviewing lists of e-journals to determine online availability for weeding of the physical counterpart; creating a database for journal availability and retention schedule; assisting with digitization project by identifying candidates for digitizing and participating in quality assurance of digitized material. Candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision. Knowledge of electronic journals, MS Access and libraries is essential.
