The School of Information Management (SIM), Dalhousie University, is accepting applicants for the Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) program for the 2010/2011 academic year. Uniquely positioned within the Faculty of Management, SIM provides students with numerous opportunities to develop the strong management competencies required by today’s employers. Our goal at SIM is to educate and guide our graduate students so that they may consider future leadership positions in all kinds of information work. The School is a collegial and cohesive unit, which affords interesting opportunities for students and faculty to work together in funded research projects, association work, voluntary, or service projects and more.
The School’s alumni are a wonderful group of people who keep in close touch with the School. Alumni have told us how much they appreciated the flexibility of the Dalhousie program, the strong sense of community at SIM and how much they enjoyed living in the historic and friendly city of Halifax.
Please explore our website (http://sim.management.dal.ca) for further details about our faculty members’ teaching and research interests, our program and our students’ activities. We shall be happy to address any queries you may have.
