To all Teacher-Librarians, teachers, library technicians and library assistants
supporting learners in school libraries.
NEW!! You are invited to join a new Web 2.0 network developed by the Canadian
Association for School Libraries.
CASLnetwork, is a social network created by the Canadian Association for
School Libraries, a division of the Canadian Library Association.
Connect, share and learn from other colleagues across the country!!!
The network was created using Ning, a social platform that allows people to
create Ning Networks, and enables network creators to imbed videos, photos,
chat, music, groups, events and blogs. Other features include latest activity
feature, member profile pages, friends, messaging, email notifications, uploading
from a mobile phone and connect to Twitter, RSS support, and third-party
applications submitted by a member or Network Creator.
CASL launched this network so that teacher-librarians and school library staff
(library technicians and assistants) across Canada can meet, discuss issues,
ask questions, form groups (by province, territory or themes), post special
events, form discussion forums, engage in professional chat and blogs. The
purpose of this Web 2.0 social network is to strengthen the school library
community across Canada, provide access to and support for professional
development, collaboration, sharing of knowledge, information and innovative
technologies.
To access go the this URL on the WWW: http://caslnetwork.ning.com/ <https://secure.cbe.ab.ca/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://caslnetwork.ning.com/>
