Congratulations to Michaela Hunt from the Intertown Public Library, Centreville Newfoundland, the winner of the grand prize Nintendo Wii, in the first APLA sponsored “Games @ the Library”.

We received a total of 2806 ballots.  The draw was held on Wednesday, November 25, at the Ferriss Hodgett Library (Sir Wilfred Grenfell College, Memorial University, Corner Brook).  Dr. Marc Thackray, professor in the English Department and Library Board Member, Corner Brook Public Library, pulled the winning ballot (see attached photo).  The event was witnessed by APLA “Games @ the Library” organizer, Louise McGillis, and the staff of the Ferriss Hodgett Library.

Stephanie Collins of the Intertown Public Library, who held multiple game events that drew in over 85 participants, was delighted with the win!
