3-Year Term Appointment

 

The Patrick Power Library, Saint Mary’s University seeks an enthusiastic and service-centered recent graduate to fill the position of Digital Services Librarian for a full-time 3-year appointment, effective immediately.

 

Reporting to the University Librarian, the Librarian will manage and support Statistics Canada and other data, statistical sources, as well as specialized business information and primary source arts databases.  He or she will provide instruction and support to library staff and patrons in the use of these resources, and promote these resources to faculty.

 

In addition to the responsibilities above, this position will provide a full range of Reference and Research services; have Collection Development Liaison responsibilities for two to three academic departments; and be a member of the Library Management team.

 

The Librarian must have a Master’s degree in library science from an ALA accredited institution.  Experience in an academic library as well as with specialized databases would be an asset.
