Time Management for Library Staff
with Cheryl Stenström – 4-week online course
"I'd
love to do that at our library -- if only I had more time!" Sound
familiar? It seems staff in libraries of all types are finding less and less
time to get through all the things they need to do, whether throughout the day,
during the week or year-to-year. Discover how you can more effectively manage
your time in the short and long term so you can do the things that matter.
Cheryl Stenström is the CEO of the South Shore
Regional Library in Nova Scotia and a Library Consultant. During the past seven
years, she's developed and delivered online and face-to-face sessions in BC and
Nova Scotia on such diverse topics as library supervision and public library
management, Web development, and services for patrons with print disabilities.
She is currently teaching in BC's on-line Community Library Training Program
and San José State University's online MLIS program.
Quote
from student in previous class: "I was VERY surprised at how much this
class helped me. I loved the activities. Also I had time to try new things,
which are working really well!!!! I used my experiences and practiced on
myself:) I was glad we were given this freedom. I loved Week 4-case study, but
if everything was like that, or if it was tons of readings I would not have
been able to focus on my needs and ideas. I also loved the gems I discovered
from the postings [instructor's and students'] . Thanks Cheryl!!!"
