Responsibilities include: collection development; collection management; outreach; consultation and advisory services; planning and development; related work. QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a good knowledge of library materials, selection tools and practices, current trends in public library systems and electronic resources including web resources. Must demonstrate strong organizational, planning, communication and promotion and public relations skills as well as strong interpersonal skills, initiative and good judgement. Good supervisory skills would be an asset. Must possess a valid driver’s licence. The required knowledge and abilities would normally be acquired through successful completion of a Masters in Library Science/Library Information Science (MLS/MLIS) degree from an accredited university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
