Cape Breton University invites applications for a full-time term position in the Library at the rank of Librarian I to commence January 2009 and end December 2009.

Reporting to the Director of Library Services, the successful candidate will offer multi- disciplinary reference services and information literacy instruction, as well as provide collection development and liaison with academic departments (primarily education, humanities and social sciences). The working schedule includes one evening per week and one Saturday per month.

Applicants must have an MLIS from an ALA accredited institution with preference being given to candidates with at least some experience in an academic library.

The union affiliation of this position is with the Cape Breton University Faculty Association.
