This is a friendly reminder regarding the upcoming library event on Wednesday, March 12th at the NSCC Waterfront Campus.  I regret to inform you that the Education Institute session has reached maximum capacity (but I am maintaining a waiting list).  However, we would love to see you register for the tour of the Waterfront Campus and the reception afterwards.  The schedule is:

 

3:00-4:00 pm – Education Institute’s Providing 21st Century Reference Services in Your Library (pre-registration is closed due to session reaching maximum capacity)

 

4:15-5:00 pm – A tour of the new NSCC Waterfront Campus.

 

5:00-7:00 pm - Reception in the Snider Gallery at the Waterfront Campus.  A cash bar will be available.

 

The entire event is free of charge but attendees must pre-register for the tour and reception by either emailing Debbie Costelo ([log in to unmask]) or by telephone (902-491-1031).  Please provide your name and email address at the time of registration.  There is free parking but please sign in at the front entrance with Security.

Directions from Halifax-Angus L. MacDonald Bridge

  • Take the Angus L.MacDonald Bridge to Dartmouth
  • Turn right onto Wyse Road
  • Continue until there is a set of lights-turn left on Alderney Drive
  • Drive through 3 sets of lights.  At the 4th set of lights, turn right onto Portland St.
  • At the next set of lights, turn right onto Pleasant St.
  • Drive along Pleasant St for a few kilometers until you reach the hospital area.  At the set of lights just before Dartmouth General Hospital, turn right onto Mawiomi Place – veer right as you are driving down to the campus and park in the visitor’s area.

 

Directions from Halifax-A. Murray MacKay Bridge

  • Take the A. Murray MacKay Bridge to Dartmouth
  • Stay on Highway #111 until you reach the end (past Penhorn Mall) - down by Woodside.
  • Take a right onto Pleasant Street.
  • Drive through 1 set of lights – at the 2nd set of lights, make a left onto Mawiomi Place – veer right as you are driving down to the campus and park in the visitor’s area.
