APLA members are invited to enter a draw for one free registration for the 2nd annual conference: Information Without Borders, hosted by the students of the School of Information Management at Dalhousie University's Faculty of Management.  The theme of this year's conference is Information Management Sustaining Communities and the dates are Friday March 14th and Saturday March 15th, 2008.
Please note this draw is for registration only and the winner will be responsible for other expenses.  To enter, please send an e-mail message to [log in to unmask] the subject line APLA IWB Draw.  Please include your name, workplace and telephone number in the message.  The deadline for entries is Monday, March 3rd at midnight.  The winner will be announced on Tuesday March 4th, 2008.
This year's Information Without Borders conference seeks to discuss key issues that will ensure lasting and effective ties within communities through the use of information. Discussion will centre on issues of usability, community development, planning and design, marketing, and creating relations between various community groups.
The opening keynote will be delivered by Eric Stackhouse, Chief Librarian, Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library.  The closing keynote will be presented by Stephen Abram, current SLA President, and a Past-President of both the Canadian Library Association and the Ontario Library Association.
