OUR OPPORTUNITY: You will have responsibility for the development of technological applications in a multi-campus college library system and will ensure College students and staff have effective and easy access to the Library's web-based resources and services. This includes administration of the Library's electronic resources and the development and maintenance of the website.  The College is a member of the Novanet library consortium and you will work closely with the consortium's office and participating libraries, as well as college library staff, to ensure the smooth integration and operation of the ILS software (Ex Libris' Aleph) and other emerging consortial technologies (i.e. Relais) within NSCC.  You will also have responsibility for the provision of reference services to students and staff (face-to-face and chat-based), collection development, information literacy programming and supervision of campus library staff. 
YOUR CREDENTIALS:  You have a Master of Library Science/Information Science from an ALA accredited institution, combined with a minimum of one and a half years of occupational experience.  You have experience working with information technology in a library setting, ideally in a post-secondary environment. You will have experience in public services activities, including teaching information literacy and research skills, coordinating and delivery of reference services and collection development.  You have the ability to manage a diverse workload and possess excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills.  You are innovative, committed to lifelong learning, understand the concepts of portfolio learning and have the ability to deal effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
