or professional development opportunity with the APLA Memorial Award!
All members, including previous applicants and Award winners, are
invited to submit an application. Up to $1,000 is available to be
awarded annually.


Study or research that contributes to the development of an applicant's
career and benefits the library profession as a whole are encouraged.
Examples of recently funded projects include: 


*	Investigating the reading interests of junior high school youth

*	Studying school housed libraries in Newfoundland and Labrador 
*	Examining electronic resource management in academic teaching
and research environments 
*	Exploring the attitudes and teaching methods of academic
instruction librarians in the Atlantic region 
*	Participating in the Library of Congress Serials Cataloguing
Cooperative Training Program
