***Apologies for cross-posting*** An invitation to attend Leadership in an Information-Rich Society Conference The Students of Dalhousie University's School of Information Management invite you to attend a one-day conference examining the challenges facing leaders in an information-rich world. Speakers will discuss access to information, privacy, information enterprise, knowledge-building, and leadership in general. Dr. Amir Attaran (associate professor at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law and Canadian Research Chair for the Institute of Population Health) will deliver the opening keynote address "Prometheus Shrugged: The Technology and Information Enterprise and the Persistence of Global Poverty." Panelists Dr. Gudrun Curri, Darce Fardy, David Fraser, Mark Leggott, and Linda McKarney will discuss "Privacy and Access: Necessary Leadership on Both Sides of the Issue" and "Growing a Knowledge Society: Leadership in Government, Education and the Private Sector." Dr. Elizabeth Kelley from Dalhousie University's School of Business Administration will deliver the closing keynote address. Dr. Kelley's address will be the inaugural Dalhousie-Horrocks Leadership Lecture, in honour of Dr. Norman Horrocks.
