Just a friendly email to APLA members about upcoming ARMA training events. We are extending the deadline for registration in the Program Evaluation Workshop (description below). In addition, we are thinking about bringing in the Electronic Records Management Masters Certificate program sometime in late April (dates yet to be confirmed). Introduction to Program Evaluation Workshop, 7-8 December Purpose of this two-day workshop is to familiarize RIM professionals with the benefits and outcomes of using an evaluation framework to enhance RIM program performance and advancement. The workshop will be presented by program evaluation professionals, Heather Perkins and Tracy Fiander-Trask. The objectives of the workshop are for participants to develop a fundamental understanding of program evaluation concepts, principles and tools in program evaluation; to learn about the components of an evaluation framework and how they can be used in the development of RIM programs; to understand how program evaluation can be used to measure and enhance RIM programs. In addition, the workshop will prepare participants for future specialized evaluation training such as developing and using logic models and assessment methods. Last registration date is 30 November 2006. Non-members will benefit by receiving a complementary membership with the Halifax Chapter ARMA International and the Information Management Journal for one year.
