Re. below, I thought these recent references from Gary Price at ResourceShelf might be of interest.

The piece on Manuscript Stacks (at the U.S. Library of Congress) made me wonder how much history is sitting in the stacks of our own public and academic libraries as well as museums, throughout the Atlantic region, that we know very little about. Perhaps it's time to ask why(?). Maybe the second reference to Peter Morville’s lecture on issues of ‘findability’ pertains to this.
