Systems Librarian Appointment

Mount Saint Vincent University Library is pleased to announce the appointment of Stanislav Orlov as Systems Librarian, effective July 31, 2006.  Stan recently received his Master of Information Studies from the Faculty of Information Studies, University of Toronto.  In addition he holds a degree in foreign-language education from Moscow State Pedagogical University, and he is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT).  Stan was awarded the University of Toronto Alumni Association’s Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award for outstanding extracurricular contributions.   He has experience in reference, technical services, website and database development, network security, IT support and training, and language instruction.  Stan is an active member of several professional associations including ALA, CLA, and SLA and speaks English, French, Spanish and Russian.
