DEADLINE IDEAS GALLERY APLA 2006 - FREDERICTON, NEW BRUNSWICK A quick reminder that the deadline (April 30) is fast approaching for all libraries across Atlantic Canada to submit their entries for a new activity to be held during this year’s annual APLA Conference in Fredericton – the Ideas Gallery. The Ideas Gallery is a fun and interesting event which puts a spotlight on the wealth of PR expertise that abounds right here in Atlantic Canada! PR materials are being requested from all types of libraries in Atlantic Canada. Materials will be displayed on tables for attendees to view and take home a sample or two. If your library creates outstanding PR materials, it may be deserving of a special “Best in Show” award. To be eligible for an award, please submit 75 copies* of your best promotional materials produced in 2005-06 in any of the following categories: Materials that promote: • programs • services • events • resources • fundraising activities • library advocacy • reading clubs • summer reading programs • Canadian Library Week • @your library® slogan • newsletters • orientation materials A team of experts will judge the entries based on design, content, originality and effectiveness. Libraries are welcome to enter more than one category. PR materials must be submitted by April 30, 2006.
