The University of Regina's reputation continues to grow.  With over 1,200
faculty and staff, almost 13,000 students, enhanced physical facilities
and new research strengths, the University is positioned for a very strong

The Dr. John Archer Library on the University of Regina campus houses
monograph and journal collections of some 2.4 million items. The Library
is an essential partner in the research and instructional endeavours of
the University of Regina providing an information infrastructure rooted in
a knowledgeable and responsive staff, a sound collection base, and the
continuous pursuit of collaborative opportunities to expand access to
scholarly information resources.

The University Librarian, is a member of the senior administration team of
the University and is responsible for providing skilled and enthusiastic
leadership to advance the Library's contribution to the University's
mission of teaching and research.

The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership ability preferably within
a university library, and an appreciation of the challenges and
opportunities facing Libraries in an increasingly digital world.  An MLS
or MLIS is required.
