An Evening with Stephanie Boyd

The SLA Student Group of Dalhousie in conjunction with
the SLA Eastern Canada Chapter are excited to present
An Evening with Stephanie Boyd on Thursday, March
30th, at 6:00 PM.

Sponsored by Thomson-Dialog and Visard solutions,
Stephanie Boyd's presentation is entitled "A Tour of
the Paperless Library: Market Knowledge Centre, Bell
Canada's complete information source."

One of the first entirely virtual corporate libraries
in Quebec or North America, the Bell Canada Market
Knowledge Centre has been completely transformed in
the last several years. Bell Canada's Market Knowledge
Centre is a virtual library, offering clients an
information portal to access internal and external
information. The library team is made up of
researchers and web experts located in three cities,
and the collection is entirely electronic. Stephanie
Boyd of Bell's MKC will lead us on a virtual tour of
this service, and discuss the origin of the project
and the information specialists' role in the virtual
library environment.

Held at Dalhousie's University Club, the evening
includes a cash bar, a raffle,and hors d'oeuvres will
be served.

The cost is $5.00 for SLA student members, $10.00 for
non-members (students), $15.00 for SLA members, and
$20.00 for non-members.
